Telework agreements can be temporary or permanent. Any flexible work arrangement lasting more than a few weeks should be documented with a telework agreement. On the telework form, please indicate a start and end date for the arrangement.

Flexible Work policy (University Policy Number 2202) requires that all new Flexible Work Agreements and Remote Work Agreements undergo a three-month trial period (unless the arrangement is temporary and lasts less than three-months). At the three-month check-in, the employee and supervisor may sign off to continue the agreement up to an additional 12 months or until the end date stated in the agreement, whichever occurs sooner.

The longest period an agreement is valid for is up to 15 months (3-month trial plus 12 months after the check-in). After 15 months, a new agreement must be completed.
